Walking out the Word - January 2nd

2 Chronicles 13:4

Abijah stood on Mount Zemaraim, in the hill country of Ephraim, and said, "Jeroboam and all Israel, listen to me!"

In a world of Facebook and Twitter, everyone has something to say. Everything from mundane daily actions to personal confessions are placed online for everyone to read. While technology may have made this kind of personal self-expression more accessible, it has always been part of our nature to want to share with others. As followers of Christ, this should be all the more true.

You see friend, the God of all creation has shown us His love by sending His Son to pay the price for our sin. It's this message of forgiveness and grace that we proclaim to a world in need. Not only that, but as we live out our lives dedicated to Christ, people will see the difference and desire to know the Truth. As we share God's Word and walk in obedience, we will find our lives impacting eternity in a far greater way than any status update we could make.

Life Lesson: We should be people of the Word and of our word.

Dear God,
Thank You for Jesus and for the forgiveness of sins. I praise You for Your love and grace and pray that You would give me an opportunity today to share it with someone around me. Whether it's a kind word or an act of service, help me to live out Your Word in all that I do. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Living to tell what He died to say,
