Angel of light

Acceptance. Love is love. Love wins. Pick your slogan, and Satan is doing an outstanding job of making his lies about marriage, family, and sexuality seem lovely and full of light. In reality, “the god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God” (2 Corinthians 4:4).

The problem is that a culture of acceptance in this world will not actually bring peace to anybody—because every single person’s greatest problem is the darkness caused by separation between themselves and God. As Christians, our job is to speak the truth in love. (In love is critical!)

All those blinded by the devil’s lies still have time to learn about the real Light of life. Look at the people around you, fighting so vehemently, and see them as Jesus did: “When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field’” (Matthew 9:36-38).

Millions and billions of people need to hear about Jesus, whose eternal love is the only love that actually wins. Don’t simply pray for “other” workers. Be a worker. Get out into the harvest field. Talk to the people in your life one-on-one. Listen to them. Love them. With compassion. With truth. With grace.

You have the power to change your world!

The Bible tells the story of how God reformed a misshaped world through Jesus. How you see yourself fitting into that story shapes you. And as you reach out to share that story, it can’t help but shape the world around you!
