Glorifying the Lord in Business
A retired CEO asked recently if I’m seeing more acceptance for faith in the workplace. I shared that most publicly traded companies prefer to avoid the subject of faith altogether, but small independent businesses are different.
A good example is found in a press release I read recently. When discussing his company’s growth plans, Darris Stoll in South Carolina said, “At Stoll Industries, we believe our mission … is to be intentional in our actions, building an environment of honesty and faith that creates a platform for God in the workplace."
This sort of press release would be unlikely in most publicly traded organizations.
Psalm 34:3 says, “Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together.”
Let’s remember that large and small organizations can both glorify the Lord!
