Serving Humbly
By:  Rick Boxx
December 6, 2010

Many times business leaders praise a peer or a key employee of theirs to me, but what really impressed me was when a waiter, working at our last event, cornered me to praise one of our guests. This waiter pointed to Denise, a gifted entrepreneur and teacher, as he said, "If Denise is involved with your event then I'm impressed."

He continued, "Denise, is a class act and a great teacher. Our people love working with her, because she treats them so well." Denise is known worldwide, yet she takes time to care for hotel servers.

Jesus taught in Matthew 23:12, "For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted."

If you're looking for a great leader, look for those who humbly serve others.
