A National Business Ethics Survey discovered that most employees believe the most significant factor in ethical leadership to be the personal character of their leader. These employees defined strong character on three factors: Character as experienced through interactions, How they handle crises, and The policies and procedures leaders establish to manage the company.
Our team members pay close attention to the way we interact with them. As a leader, it may not seem fair to have our character judged based on how well we make others feel during personal interactions, but it’s a reality.
Truly being concerned for all is a sure way to bolster your character in the eyes of others.
