Out of Control

Dan is a national speaker and author who began having seizures. He can no longer drive so he relies on family members and friends to drive him to speaking engagements or meetings.

As I pondered Dan’s plight I realized that the biggest challenge for me would be the loss of control. Depending upon others would be very hard, yet that’s exactly what God desires us to learn. He wants us to trust Him with control, rather than trust ourselves.

Jesus trained his disciples to trust him when he sent them to preach. He said in Luke 9:3, “Take nothing for the journey – no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra tunic.”

As you face your workplace challenges today pause and reflect, “Do you trust God, or only yourself?”
