A successful entrepreneur shared with an audience a time when he wrestled with the thought of selling his business and just living off the interest. Considering that option caused him doubts about his purpose and value in life.
He eventually realized he wasn’t working for the money; he was working to impact lives in the marketplace. His revelation brought satisfaction and renewed purpose.
King Solomon had a similar struggle. In Ecclesiastes 5:18 he wrote, “Then I realized that it is good and proper for a man to eat and drink, and to find satisfaction in his toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given him- for this is his lot.”
Discovering the true meaning for your work is critical in finding satisfaction.
