Toothless Generosity
by Rick Boxx
March 29, 2010

Our church challenged the children to participate in our capital campaign. One young boy announced his goal of raising $10.

A few days later he lost a tooth and received $1 from his parents. Soon he hatched a generous, but sacrificial plan. After three more missing teeth and his request for $3, his parents put a stop to his teeth extraction business!

The Macedonians were also known for their sacrificial giving. Paul said in 2 Corinthians 8:3, "For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints."

Many of us may be generous, but how many of us give as sacrificially as this young boy?
