The Passion of Others
By: Rick Boxx
September 16, 2013

With two daughters I have learned how passionate young ladies can be about homecoming dances. But that hasn't always been true.

In my first year of college, the girl I was dating desperately wanted me to take her to Homecoming. At that stage, in my wayward and self-indulgent life, I drank a lot, and had little interest in going to homecoming, so she offered me what she assumed would clinch the deal; a case of beer. I declined.

By refusing to care about her passion to attend homecoming, she terminated our relationship.

Philippians 2:4 says, Do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.

In the workplace, we need to be sensitive and look out for the interests of others.
