The Email Pit
By Rick Boxx
October 30, 2009

Imagine forwarding a humorous email to all your employees, only to have it used against you in court. According to The Kansas City Star, the CEO of KK Office Solutions forwarded a politically charged email to all his employees.

The email challenged readers to rethink their vote if they were an Obama supporter. An employee for KK Office Solutions filed suit, claiming he was fired due to his political beliefs. The email is now evidence against the employer.

Forwarding emails, for purposes other than business, comes with a risk. Proverbs 26:27 teaches, "If a man digs a pit, he will fall into it; if a man rolls a stone, it will roll back on him."

When using email at work, be careful you're not digging a pit.
