Genesis 15think about it.
What do you learn here about God's promises? Describe God's covenant with Abram. How does Abram respond? What does he teach you about believing God?
God comes to Abram in Genesis 15 and promises him that Abram will have a son to be his heir and that Abram's offspring will be as numerous as the stars. Now that's quite an amazing promise considering Abram's circumstances. But that doesn't make one bit of difference to Abram. Verse 6 says "And he believed the Lord, and he counted it to him as righteousness." I love this verse because it is such a picture of complete trust and faith.
So here are a couple of questions for us to consider: Do we, like Abram, believe what the Lord tells and promises us? Why or why not? And if not, what do we need to do to get there? Tami W.
