Today's reading: 1 Corinthians 1:4-9
January can be a gloomy time. Winter is now full upon us with shorter days, colder temperatures, less sunlight, plus the holidays and the emotional high of family gatherings and celebrations that comes with them are over. So Paul's reminder in 1 Corinthians 1:4-9 of what God has already done for us through Christ and what He is doing and will do--"sustain you to the end, guiltless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ" (vs. 8)--helped refocus my thinking on good and godly things which, in turn, gave me a needed boost today.
What encouraged you from Paul's "thanksgiving" in verses 4-9 today and why? Tami
