Sad State

today's reading.
Judges 2:11-23    And the people of Israel did what was evil in the sight of the LORD and served the Baals...
Judges 2:11-23

think about it.
What do you learn here about what angers God (2:11-15)? How does God exhibit His anger? His grace? How have you seen God's anger and grace in your life?

the blog.
My heart was heavy as I read Judges 2:11-23 and saw how over and over again the people of Israel willingly, even eagerly, turned away from God. God's protection and loving actions didn't seem to faze them at all. They were focused on themselves, their wants, their desires. Now this is painful to acknowledge, but we're prone to act this way too.

So what are some things we can do to keep on track so we're not acting like modern day Israelites? Tami W.
