Today's reading: James 5:13-20
Prayer is our direct line of communication with God. When we pray, it draws us closer to God, encourages and inspires us, and is one of the ways we can support our brothers and sisters in Christ. Yet, we don't always take full advantage of this powerful instrument. So I was thankful as I reached the final verses of James, where we're reminded about praying with faith and taking hold of this incredible power to pray.
"The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working." (vs. 16)
How often do you talk with God? Do you pray with the expectation that God can and will respond to your prayers? What's one example of how have you witnessed or experienced the power of prayer as it is working? Will you join me in praying more boldly, more focused and more often? Tami
