In the Midwest, Mid-August is a time for schools to start back-up. College kids are planning to head back to school, while kindergartners are excitedly preparing for their first day.
This can be a hectic, exciting, anxious, and/or sad time for parents with school-age children. A family-friendly workplace may want to be sensitive to the needs of their employees during this time of year.
Galatians 6:10 says, “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”
During the back to school season, consider allowing some flexibility for time off and patience for the emotions that may surface. This can be a caring and wise approach, and, lend goodwill to your organization from grateful employees.
