Five CEO Myths Part I
In the book, “The CEO Next Door,” the authors did a deep dive on survey data to determine what attributes surfaced for successful CEOs. Their findings revealed some insights that debunked several CEO myths. We will examine a few this week.
One finding that resonated with me was what these researchers discovered about the myth that successful CEOs have a larger-than-life personality. The study revealed that self-described introverts were slightly more likely to exceedtheir board’s expectations.
Genesis 25:27 says, “When the boys grew up, Esau was a skillful hunter, a man of the field, while Jacob was a quiet man, dwelling in tents.”
Jacob became a very astute and successful leader despite his introverted personality. Don’t let your personality define or limit what God has called you to accomplish.
