And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. (Ephesians 3:19 KJV)
“Filled unto the fullness of God” (ASV) is a good translation of this verse. For eternity we are to be “filled to the brim” with the totality of God’s riches that are available to the believer. It is said that nature abhors a vacuum. This explains why air and water will automatically flow into an empty place. In the same way, the divine nature abhors a vacuum. God desires that every empty heart be filled. God wants us to experience His fullness (pleroma) to the utmost.
