“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7)
George Muëller was a great man of faith. One morning there wasn’t any breakfast for the children in his orphanage. He simply said the blessing: “Dear God, we thank You for what You are going to give us to eat.” Suddenly the local baker knocked at the door, holding a large tray of bread. He said that he had felt compelled to bake bread for them. Muëller smiled. “God has blessed us through you this morning.” Muëller completely depended upon the providence of God. How about you? Do you trust in your own resources, or in God’s plentiful bounty?
