John 14:16-17

“I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever—the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.”

Being a Christ-follower is a personal choice you make regarding Jesus of Nazareth. You’re willing to say, “God, I’m a sinner. I need a Savior. I believe Jesus is Your son. He died for my sins. I choose Him as Lord of my life. I will live to honor Him.” That’s how we’re birthed into the Kingdom of God. When you become a Christ-follower, the Holy Spirit takes up residence within you. We know this, but many times we ignore Him or dismiss His voice almost entirely. Let’s not make light of the Spirit of Almighty God dwelling within us. Let’s learn to recognize His voice and His promptings and seek to become aware of His guiding hand and power in our lives.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit who lives within me. Thank You for His constant presence to guide me and lead me into a deeper knowledge of Your truth. Help me to know His presence in a deeper way and follow His leading so that my days in the earth might be blessed and bring glory and honor to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
